HostMonster is a newer sister brand to the renowned BlueHost (since 1996). It is owned and operated by the same team out of their offices in Orem, Utah.
HostMonster is geared both towards professional and individual sites with a slightly lower price point than its direct competition.

HostMonster's skinning is light enough not to get in the way. A handful of promotional items at the top tend to be annoying at first but can be collapsed.
Their proprietary Simple Scripts application installer is currently the best in the industry.
Customer satisfaction
User feedback shows excellent satisfaction rates, especially for those clients balancing the level of support with the lower price point.
HostMonster is also known to have extremely good response times, both by email and by phone. There have been a few hickups at times of rapid growth in the past but it seems HostMonster now has the situation under control and support is back to its highest levels.

I love Host Monster! They might cost a little more than other hosting places but I have found that it is way worth it! Not only does Host monster have all the space, email addresses, and bandwidth you would ever want or need but it also has every feature you could ever need! I have used HostMonster for about 2 years. They have great customer service and I get to speak to a live person which is important for me. The CPanel which are used for their sites are easy to use and I have no complaints.

I have been with Hostmonster for a little less then a year and I just have good things to say. I have been with godaddy and a few others and I am amazed with the quality of customer service.
Been using host monster for a few months, and it's perfect. Could not ask for a more consistent, fast service.
I, too, love the ease and power of CPanel, but the recent upgrade to v11 crashed a portion of my site and files were lost in the recovery. The 24-hour tech line is very fast and the reps are very helpful. I've been with HM for over 4 years and have had nearly 100% up time until recently, when my site was down for almost 12 hours. I'm hoping these two glitches are just bad luck and not a future trend...
I have been with HostMonster for over 2 years and they have not let me down yet. Since I am very technical, I don't have any issues in that department. The only issue I would have is with down time, and the down time with HostMonster is minimal. HostMonster is definitely recommended. Good review by the way 
100% the best company I ever used. I love them , no need to keep looking, even provides me with an ssh shell account and lets me install open source software I wanted. great people, online chat fixed what I hd in minutes.

I have never had one issue with hosting at Hostmonster. I recommend them to all my friends. I will recommend HM to future clients as well. In today's economy,its all about the best bang for our buck, and HostMonster has it going on! They make it easy for the little guy just starting out to find their way in this complex environment.

I've been customer with Hostmonster not too long about 10 days and I was really impressed with their service. Real person in U.S phone support, easy Cpanel to use. Simple click button to set up. I set up my entire blog not even 5 minutes compare to big boy like godady, take me at least 30 min and then wait for pending approval too. Go for Hostmonster 5 stars +
I switched to HOSTMONSTER.com after being a ViaVerio.com customer for over 10 years. The servers are more stable. Customer service is better and the is unbelievable. I moved 30 domains to them without any problems or hidden costs. I would HIGHLY recommend Hostmonster.com
I received a call from a customer rep after opening my account, asking for sensitive information like my registered url. When I explained it wasn't safe on my end to provide this info to any unknown person who calls me on the phone, the rep threatened with deactivating my account (he had a "go ahead make my day" moment). No alternative ways of confirming my account were offered - he just went ahead and deactivated my account. I canceled and requested a refund.
